A lot is happening around here - working on a couple different projects - with updates soon... 

One class assignment I'm working on is a guest house/backyard landscape design for a young family in Marin, California.

Here's what I'm thinking as far as outdoor feel:

Think open floor plan / natural materials, with an emphasis on glass and reclaimed wood.  And as for decor - I'm seeing (surprise) layered neutrals in a multitude of textures - a sort of clean-eclectic California surf-chic vibe.  And those egg-shaped hanging chairs are absolutely making an appearance.

Sorry for the long silence- I just finished a summer intensive course for my MFA that was two weeks long... with a week's worth of coursework everyday!  The good news is, I've survived.  Looking forward to a weekend of relaxation and reorganization, and hoping to enjoy some sun / a magazine or two.  Lots to catch up on and lots to look forward to.

Hope you all have wonderful Fridays- and if yours is less than fabulous, do as Liz Taylor suggests.  It's all about how you approach it.

This is what my Sunday looked like... marker fumes galore.  Finals are almost completed; can't wait until then when I can (quite literally) breathe easier!

And just like that, it's almost Monday again.

This weekend has been full of organization, good friends, and working on various projects...classes start again tomorrow so I'm just trying to get everything in order.  Am so looking forward to the semester ahead and all the new things it will bring... feeling refreshed and excited to begin!
