So last Saturday, I jumped a little further outside my comfort zone and participated in this month's blog brunch.  It was a great conversation about blog design, and gave me lots of ideas on how to spruce this place up a bit.... and I made lots of new blog friends as well.

Came away from it completely inspired and ready to hit the ground running... which is just what I needed really.  Lately I have had so many ideas swirling around in my head... seeing all the great things these other bloggers are doing really inspired me to take steps to put those ideas into action.

This weekend has been full of organization, good friends, and working on various projects...classes start again tomorrow so I'm just trying to get everything in order.  Am so looking forward to the semester ahead and all the new things it will bring... feeling refreshed and excited to begin!

All this rain / slush / snow has me longing for Springtime - flowers, ocean breeze-bike rides, bright yellow sunshine, stripes / white jeans / vacation adventures... for now I am pinning as many spring-inspired images as I can find.  It's a crazy week at work but I'm going to try to not be absent here!  Hope you all had lovely beginnings to your week (is it really only Tuesday now?)

OY.  Can't believe it's already basically Wednesday, and the last time I posted was Thursday.  Not so good.  I have been feeling a bit under the weather but I promise more content is coming soon!  Here are a few images I can't get out of my head to tide you over in the meantime:

Things I can't get off my mind:  the open-ness of the California countryside... colors in nature that are at once hazy and saturated.....  the majestic beauty of mountains, plains and ocean.  Basically I want to give up everything in the city and go live on a farm by the beach... but as that's not exactly feasible at the moment, I'll have to settle for trying to bring that feeling indoors.  I'm thinking a large blown-up photo (loving the image below) and a pale teal/hazy blush/soft mustard color scheme.  Think this could be fabulous layered on whites in a living room...

Very much enjoying the classic combo of red, white and blue in these two images... wish I were headed out to a fabulous brunch or lounging around the house reading, but as there are only TWO WEEKS of the semester left, I am up to my eyeballs in projects today!
