recent adventures

I have been a terrible blogger as of late.  In my defense, I've been suuuper busy finishing midterm projects and taking a much needed vacation!  Spent four days relaxing poolside/attempting to gamble/seeing incredible Cirque shows/eating amazing food/generally having a fabulous time.  I am back in the city now and enjoying a glorious spring weekend full of activities.  On today's agenda was a trip to the Architectural Digest Home Design Show, which was so much fun- saw some amazing things that I will post photos of soon.  For now, a few highlights from vacation:

Happy Saturday!  I'm off to dinner with friends at a favorite restaurant.  Hope your weekend is everything you need it to be... full of glorious adventures and just enough sparkle.  More soon!

under the weather

OY.  Can't believe it's already basically Wednesday, and the last time I posted was Thursday.  Not so good.  I have been feeling a bit under the weather but I promise more content is coming soon!  Here are a few images I can't get out of my head to tide you over in the meantime:

and a couple blog posts I keep going back to this week:

Jamie Meares' office... love her couch, and her daring taste!  (Also- she is awesome and responds to tweets from lowly non-professionals like myself.)

Erika of Urban Grace Interiors - on Pinterest.... this has added to my addiction significantly

and

Coco & Kelley ... because I'm always excited about the prospect of pops of neon plus neutrals... but also plus pastels?  Doesn't get any better.

Hope you are all having fabulous weeks.

lately

Things I can't get off my mind:  the open-ness of the California countryside... colors in nature that are at once hazy and saturated.....  the majestic beauty of mountains, plains and ocean.  Basically I want to give up everything in the city and go live on a farm by the beach... but as that's not exactly feasible at the moment, I'll have to settle for trying to bring that feeling indoors.  I'm thinking a large blown-up photo (loving the image below) and a pale teal/hazy blush/soft mustard color scheme.  Think this could be fabulous layered on whites in a living room...
